Contract Award

CONTRACT AWARD

Step 2 - When you Start your Project Journey

It can be a no mans land between the euphoria of securing a project and your operations teams starting.

In the early days of a project, it is easy to forget to review the documents and ensure that it is correct, that you have all of teh information and that your team understands what the contract says and means.

We work with your operations teams to understand, to map and create a systemised method of administering your agreements.

Contract Verification

Similar to a contract review, but it fills the gap between negotiation and final brief landing and one final check before ececution. We normally carry these out where we have nit undertaken a review and been party to negotiations.

That's not a criticism — construction contracts are dense, technical documents, and the pressure to mobilise quickly means scrutiny often gets skipped.

disproportionate, we flag it. Where terms are not as expected or where documents are appended that you do not recognise we flag it.

It's not legal advice. It's commercial intelligence — the kind that stops small print from becoming big losses.

Contract Introduction

Your commercial team cannot be everywhere. But your site team is.

The people managing day-to-day delivery — foremen, project managers, site supervisors — are often the first to witness events that carry contractual weight. Delays, variations, access issues, scope changes. If they do not know what to record, when to flag it, or why it matters, that evidence is gone.

We work with operational teams to build commercial awareness at ground level. Not turning site managers into quantity surveyors — but giving them enough understanding to protect the business in the moments that count. Early warnings, contemporaneous records, change identification. The basics, done consistently, that keep your entitlements alive.

Process Mapping

We work through your existing project workflows and map where contract obligations sit within them. We also amend them where contracts have a specific requirement. Notices, early warnings, compensation events, payment applications — we identify where the triggers are, who owns them, and whether your current process is capturing them. The output is a clear picture of where you are exposed and what needs to change.

Templates — We build the documents your team actually uses. Notice templates, payment application formats, variation registers, programme narratives — all drafted to the specific contract you are working under, whether that is NEC, JCT, or FIDIC. No generic forms. Everything is built to do a job.
